Today I reached the Atlantic Ocean. Not the end of the world yet, but close. My journey today took me to Muxia, a coastal town on a rocky coastline. Part of the walk took a route following the coast. It looked so appealing but seemed inaccessible.
I came across an overgrown track which I followed. It became even more overgrown as I went along but it was heading in the right direction – the water. The track ended up at a small secluded sandy beach. Here was a chance to dip my toes in the ocean and say I have now walked the full width of Spain.
What contrast I have seen in the last four weeks. From the lush green mountains of the Pyrenees to the dry and sometimes desolate landscape of the Meseta. After Leon, the mountains and mist to the rich farmlands of Galatia and finally the rugged coast. What a walk! Tomorrow I reach the End of the World but today I walked right across Spain.

Love Muxia! I see you hiked up to the top. Such a great, quiet place to reflect on one’s travels…On to Finisterre!
Hi Kym, problem today was the wind. It was really blustery! Thanks for the advice to go to Muxia first. Worked out really well. Alan
