Really clocked up the kilometres today. Started in Najera at 6am and stopped 8 hours later in Redecilla del Camino having walked 32 kms – ahead of schedule.
The albergue is very quiet. It holds 40 but I would say that there are only 10 people here. It is an albergue in the middle of a stage so less people tend to stay, preferring to stay in the larger towns. This albergue is a municipal one – run by the local council. Cost me 5 euros. There is a peregrino meal provided for a donation. It will be good to have some hot food.
Rain had been threatening all day but really came down once I reached my destination.Hence the tears in the title. Some will think I am mad but I am glad I bought my woolen hat!
